This medicine is a cholinergic agent used to treat dry mouth in patients with Sjogren's syndrome. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include sweating, nausea, chills, flushing, frequent urination, dizziness, or weakness. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience headache, excessive sweating, excessive tears, abdominal pain, vomiting, breathing problems, change in heart rate, or chest pain. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.

Do not stop using this medicine without checking with your doctor. If your symptoms do not improve or if they become worse, check with your doctor. THIS MEDICINE MAY CAUSE CHANGES IN YOUR VISION, especially at night. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous unless you can see clearly. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk. IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
