Estratest 1.25/2.5

has anyone found a replacement for estratest? The generic form doesn't work for me. I have taken estratest for 6 six years with no side effects. It has helped me to feel normal after a hysterectomy and has continued. Without it I am tired, joint pain, no sexual desire, mental tiredness, night sweats, depressed and overall just feel bad. I am hoping to find something that will be identical to the estratest. I need a miracle.

I've not been the same since they taking estratest rx away from me. Body aches,mod swing, you would not believe body change.

I was told a drug called Covaryx is the replacement. I will let you know how it goes. Good luck, Meryl

Today my WalMart pharmacist only filled 7 pills of Estratest HS and my PCP nurse called me and said the manufacturer had put the drug on a "quarantine" list?!! What the heck? Now, I'm going insane wondering what I'll do without it? Any help?? Someone?

I can't get any from Walmart either, but winn Dixie has the generic covaryx. Try another pharmacy. Only been on for a month so don't know any more about how it works. Good luck

I have been on the FS of the Generic Estratest and it has changed my life. I feel like I'm a new person. The problem is I occasionally get very very moody and sad. Generally it's based around being lonly when my husband travels which is most of the month. I had a hysterectomy 9 months ago they left my ovaries in however I started getting hot flashes and no sex drive at all!!!! They ran lab tests and my hormone levels showed Postmenopausal. Testosterone was at 5. I am in my 30's. I have been on The meds for almost 4 months now. I just had labs run again and my levels are normal right in the middle of the"normal" range. This medication has not caused any weight gain or acne for me. Like I said the only neg I can say is I am a bit testy one week a month almost like PMS. I am considering only taking it 3 weeks per month to see if it helps. Have any of you experienced any of these symptoms I am curious.

Yes, I have been in the same situation but found out that Covaryx is the new replacement for Estratest. I am going to get it tomorrow. Will keep you all posted but am hoping it does the trick!

I have had the same identical problems tired. Night sweats , depression feel like crap in general! The problem is insurance won't cover it & the price has gone from 43.00 a month to $280.00 or more in the last 3 months! I can't pay that........ The pharmaceutical companies have gone too far. Anyone out there with any solutions?

I had been on covaryx by centric since my hysterectomy about 5 yrs ago. Our insurance changed and, so we had new prescription company. They filled it with the Est EstrogenmyestHS Tab ANI. I was on it for a week , and felt like my world was ending. Depression describes it well. I called specialist\womens doctor who prescribed it in the first place and described what was going on. They said "even though mfgs uhave to use same ingredients, this happens to many people. They rewrote script to request the original, Covaryx, I was fine after going back on it. The Dr had said I could take one of the ANI Est pills here and there to use them up in place of Cov. This was all over a year ago. OK, (sorry, for long story, but am hoping this may help someone else make sense of all this) So this year, 2016 Easter week, I took the ANI, vs the, Cov, and, I have been as low as ever. Sad, hopeless, depressed, crying for no good reason, angry, etc NOT WELL. I put it all the info together and discussed with my husband today. I said it's either " lack of the Cov., or, the ANI one is causing it, cause it hasn't happened for a year+. After reading posts above, I'm going to throw away the Est EstrogenmyestHS HS ANI. I believe it could make suicidal thoughts, as it has almost done to me. I'm normally a happy go lucky person & it was very scary being on the Est by ANI. I hope this helps others, as I know all medicines work differently, in different people.
