My wife has had chest pain/tightness, getting dizzy, sleeping more than usual, ever since taking the blue-dyed enalapril malette 10 mg. pill, which she started taking 2-1/2 weeks ago. Before filling the current script, she had been getting pink pills for quite some time with no problematic side-effects. Both pills are generic, BTW... ## Hello, Sven! How is your wife doing? She needs to have this checked out by her doctor. There is a chance those symptoms could be related to a heart or circulatory problem, rather than the pill from a different manufacturer. It is most likely nothing, but chest pain is nothing to play around with, especially coupled with the other symptoms. Enalapril is classified by the FDA as an ACE inhibitor that is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and c...

What is this pill I found ? ## Hi Kristy, Just have a few questions that may help narrow down our search results: What shape is this pill you found? How are the numbers laid out on the pill (i.e. altogether or on separate sides)? And is the "w" part of the description or just an abbreviation for "with"? As of now, the closest match I could find is a redish/pink oval-shaped pill marked with 93 over 28 on one side and blank on the other. The tablet I mentioned is reportedly identified as a 10mg enalapril maleate pill, used primarily for treating high blood pressure. However with those other specific details I may be able to pull up other potential matches as well. Hope this helps!

I however noticed that I had some rash on my skin but was unable to say if it was related to being allergic to the tablets. I also is now suffering from excessive scalp irritation. I took these tablet for approximate 4 months. Since november I am switched to enalapril maleate 10 mg and amlodipine besylate. I also realize that I have been experiencing elevated pulse reading which is over 80 sometimes and this morning at one 108 then it came back down to 77. What do I do. ## Hello, Maxi! How are you? My 20 yr old son was borm with hyperplastic left heart syndrome and has been on this med all his life we always got a year script from his cardiologist. He has no insurance and they won't write a new script until he's seen. I understand but with no insurance we can't afford the office visit. ## Hi countrygyrl, I'm very sorry to hear about your son's heart condition. I take one 100 mg tablet of losartan each day for blood pressure control. Recently, I signed up at the local Veterans Hospital where they recommended a 20 mg tablet of enalapril. Is this correct? Secondly, when changing bp medication, is there a period of adustment to the new bp medicine, for example, will bp measurements be high or low for a while until the body adjusts to the new chemical? Thanks, ## Hello, Frank! How are you? Yes, those dosages should be approximately equivalent, but double check with the doctor to make sure, it never hurts to do that. And yes, there may be a couple days where things are a bit off, so your readings may be a little higher than usual. does not have a vertical score line between 27 and 93 ## Hi Josh, Did you get this pill outside of the US or off the street by chance? Only asking because the closest match to your pill is that with a score line in between the 27 and 93; which is identified as Enalapril maleate (5 mg). Everything appears to fit your description except for this vertical score line. It just makes me wonder if the pill is fake or not, but I'll have to leave that for someone else to decide who also has this pill in their possession. By the way, Teva Pharmaceuticals USA is the manufacturer of the pill identified above. It may be worth while to contact them directly to see if they have any additional information on this close counterpart. I hope this helps! ## If this is the same thing as I have it is gen...

Given to me by Pharmacy 12 December. My usual Enalapril Maleate Ta 10mg (ACE) pill is a light salmon coloured triangular shaped pill. I fear I have been given wrong medication. Shall go back to the chemists. ## Hello, Annie! How are you? This is a generic medication, which means it's manufactured by quite a few different companies, so your pharmacy most likely just provided you with a different one that you used to receive. But yes, please check with them to be sure if you're worried. Are there any markings on the tablet?

peach .oval with a33 over a28 ## Hi Kim, Based on the description provided, the closest match I could find is a pink oval-shaped pill (approx 10.00mm in diameter), marked with 93 over 28 on one side and blank on the other. This particular pill is identified as Enalapril maleate 10 mg; which is used to treat hypertension as well as a number of other heart conditions. It is manufactured by Teva Pharmaceuticals USA and has a National Drug Code of 00093-0028. Would you also be so kind as to verify the imprint on your pill? In your title you mentioned "g 33 28", but in your description you changed it to "a33 over a28"; which made it a little confusing. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Enalapril Details I hope this helps!

I've taking Enalapril 20 mg nightly for over eighteen month. Suddenly I've noticed pounding heart at night, an d chest pains developed to the point I went ER. After a day admission and a bunch of testing they cleared me of problem. Came home have my prescribed dosis and the symptoms returned. Any thoughts of experiences with Enalapril, please? ## HI, sorry about the issues you're having. That's terrible. And yes, it could be an adverse reaction to the Enalapril. Technically, it should help with such issues, but most medications are capable of causing the opposite of their intended effect in some people that try them. However, another question is, do you regularly monitor your blood pressure? What was it when you went to the ER? The symptoms could also be caused by your b...

Sir, i am on Losacar H from 8 months one daily, My bp was 135/90 to 140/100 range always and is still same . its not coming down to 120/80. Now my doctor advised to switch to Envas 5mg. Is this OK. wat may be possible reasons for failure of Losacar H. My age is 39 ## You should follow your doctor's advice to try to get your blood pressure under control, even if that includes trying a different medication. And the reason the other one failed is because it may just not be the right medication to help you. Not all medications work well for everyone that tries them. Envas contains the active ingredient Enalapril, which is a ACE inhibtor and this class of medications does work better for some people for lowering blood pressure. My sister is on a BP med "Enalapril" for the past couple of years. She has recently started taking Tylenol Arthritis tabs. Are there any indications of drug interaction from this combination? She is 72 years old. ## She should check with her doctor, or pharmacist to be certain, but there are no interactions listed. The Tylenol Arthritis just contains a time released formulation of Acetaminophen, which is actually one of the safer medications for a high blood pressure patient to use. ## At age 60, I am concerned of the risk of organ damage (liver / kidney) from long term use of tylenol or ibuprofen for arthritis pain. So much so that I generally take good old aspirin, 3 tabs two or three times a day. My stomach is fine, I don't bleed easily. My blood pressure med is Atacand 3...
