i am hypertensive i am taking teleact d & amlodipine 5 i have been prescribed embeta xr 25 also should i take it why this is needed any side effects

How has your blood pressure been on the other medications? Has it still been elevated?

Embeta XR contains the active ingredient Metoprolol in a time released formulation, it is a beta blocker that is commonly used to treat blood pressure.

It is highly possible that your doctor added it, because it is time released and can help give you better blood pressure control throughout the day.

It may cause side effects, like: nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach pain.

Teleact-D contains the active ingredient Telmisartan, it is an ARB that is also used to treat high blood pressure.

I am taking Tenormin 25mg from last 12 years but recently my doctor adviced me to take Embeta XR 25mg instead of Tenormin daily but before going to start it I just wanted to know whether it has side some effects ?

After stent I am taking one tablet each
Embeta XR 50
Atorva 40 mg.
Clavix AS 150
Pantop 40
Coversyl 2 mg ( earlier I was taking Losar 12.5 mg but breathing probelem the same was changed on 06.04.2012 but still I am fleeing the same progbelem)

Does embeta tablet cause gastrick
Im asking this for my mom ever since her doctor has prescribed her to take embeta xr 25,tah 40 shes suffering from severe gastrick problem n then needs to have clinafit .25 to relax n tn shes restless lethargic no energy. Pls guide
