Effects Of Hormonal Contraceptive Pills

I started using Oralcon-F pills 14 hours after intimacy. We didn't use protection. Is there any chance that I can get pregnant? I had never taken contraceptive pills before.

Yes, if you are only taking one pill a day, then there is still a risk of pregnancy. To be effective, these must be taken daily for at least 7 days, before engaging in intercourse.

There are some that you can take in higher doses, after intercourse, to help prevent pregnancy, but that most be done within the first 24 hours to have the best results and within 5 days to still be somewhat effective at prevention.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and irregular bleeding.

Have you done a check for pregnancy?
