top of capsel is yellow with the name ETHEX written inside, and the bottom part of pill is white with 041 written on bottom

i got a pill that is a capsual yellow on one end with ETHEX on it and white on the other end with 041 on it. can you tell me what kind of pill it is,what its used is for. {pain,muscle relaxente,etc.}

it is a oxycodone 5mg with nothing else in it

Bob is correct on the ID of this pill, however, it is NOT a regular release Oxycodone, this is actually a generic for Oxy IR which stands for Instant Release. This pill is intended for those who suffer from chronic pain as a medication to manage breakthrough pain while longer acting medications take their time to kick in.

I actually have a scrip for this and use it every month. Normal dosing schedule is 3 capsules daily as needed.
