Epitech And Ivedal Together

Updated

I have been taking 200mg of Epitech at night together with two Ivedal sleeping tablets. I seem to suffer from sleepwalking/sleepeating and doing weird and wonderful things without knowing about these and only know about it when I am told in the morning. Has anyone experienced this and if so what has been the recommended "fix" for this?

The likely culprit here is the Ivedal, it contains the active ingredient Zolpidem.

It has been known to cause these types of effects, in some people and, at least in the U.S. and Canada, is warned about in the drug monograph.

Taking 2 of them may be too much for you. Did your doctor instruct you to take that many?

Epitec contains the active ingredient Lamotrigine, it is an anticonvulsant that is also used to treat mood disorders.

It is not known to cause those types of symptoms, as a side effect.

Tx for the replies. I was on Serequel and Epitech and the Ivedal. Took me off the Serequel - for which I am thankful - and then left me on the Epitech and the Ivedal. I seem to have come up with some solution. 1 Alchera and 1 Ivedal and the Epitech. Doesn't seem to have as much of a side effect as the two Ivedal. Any thoughts on that?

Caxton, yes, you would start to experience less side effects, from anything, if you lowered the dosage you were taking, so it makes perfect sense.

The Alchera contains the active ingredient Zopiclone and its normal side effects can include: nausea, dizziness, odd taste in your mouth and amnesia.

It has also been known to cause some psychiatric behavioral problems and hallucinations, but these were primarily noted in elderly people, because they are usually more sensitive to medications and their bodies may absorb more of it.
