Just like any other medication, there are those who get great results with it and those that don't. The only thing you can really do is try it and see if it helps you.

Duloxetine is an SNRI antidepressant and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight changes.

Does anyone else have any advice or experiences to share?

Re: Verwon (# 1)

I took Duloxetine 20mg for 1 year. My memory has been affected, my depression has deepened and sometimes anxiety is crippling. I love my husband and retired (5 years) in a beautiful setting on the ocean. My husband does not believe i love him or want him. No desire for intercourse or to even be intimate with him. I have always been a friendly and easy going person but no longer.

I weaned myself off over about 2 months and will not take this med again. My doctor switched me from Lexapro because it was not effective for my anxiety.

I’m cold turkey now and not sure I will ever take another med like this again.

It’s up to you. No one can decide for you what you should try.

My advice is to do as much research as you can before you begin.

I felt like i knew i had reason to show emotions but they are not there. I’m dead inside.
