I am being drug tested for cps and I am on suboxone, adderall, klonopin and gabapentin. It's showing up on the drug cup as methamphetamine and mdma, but my suboxone and other meds are not showing up. Why?

Hi, I'm on state probation and I know I have to take a drug test everytime I go. Well I tested positive for Methamphetamine and they sent it to a lab and said it was still positive. I've never done methamphetamine and don't understand how or why it was positive. Could something else have made it positive or could someone have put some in a drink or something? My probation officer said the only way was I had to have smoked it, but I'VE NEVER!! Now I face 3 years when I go to court in a month. I'm scared to death. I do know a couple of people who do and have been there when they did. It's plain to tell I don't use, I'm 50 pounds over weight and have been this way for years and just plain out don't even fit in the description of a user.

I tested positive for amphetamine last month and I've been taking tests every month for over a decade and my dr asked if I really did anything; I didn't, so she said that you have the right for another urine and blood test or at least have the 1st urine go to the lab. Lidocaine patches I use can cause false positives for amphetamine & icy hot has lidocaine also. Other than a defective test which she admitted does happen, the 2nd one will be correct and the lab work won't come back anything other than what it is. In over 120 tests I got a bad one because the expensive tests rarely show up wrong for the lidocaine. Frankly I don't care because the 2nd was correct. Just remember to insist on another test and lab work if you didn't do it like me. Good luck.

Re: Vic0403 (# 1)

Lots and lots and LOTS of things can give a false positive for that. Super scary :/ how did court go?

Also, most labs ur urine is sent to don’t do anything different than ur dr or probation officer. The only difference is they use a bigger panel drug screen. You need it broke down further to be able to find out what it is.

No Dr. or Lab can tell you what multiple drugs can do in the human body as the metabolism of all together is a witches brew. Not to mention manufacturers are capable of putting chemicals in there metabolized as something else. Their in the business of generating profits perhaps they own the drug testing lab, for every pill prescribed it can generate two tests not just one! Any Notice of a Positive result held back by the Prescribing Doctor until the Sample is disposed of is fraud, and a violation of due diligence, negligence and Malpractice!
