Doxycycline Every 12 Hrs

Doctor gave me doxycycline and said to start taking it if i got worse. I took a nap and awoke in a worse state. If i take one now at 3:30pm can i take another tonight at 12:00; then tomorrow go every 12 hours?

Ideally, it should be taken as close to 12 hours apart as possible, according to the FDA. The medication needs to remain at a consistent level in your body, for the duration of treatment, in order to adequately eradicate the infectious bacteria. Its typical side effects are list as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
