I am diabetic and have gastroperisis. My stomach hurts, I vomit frequently, have bouts of diarrhea. I was told to research this medication. I am currently taking regalan. I can not eat much at all. I have lost 20 pounds in 5 months. Does this medication always cause stomach pain? I also have othercomplications from the diabetes. If you are on a lot of narcotics, how long does it take for Peridone to work, so as not to go through the terrible withdrawals. ## Hi Liz, From what I've read, Peridone contains the active ingredient Domperidone and it is not used to treat pain. It is used to help prevent nausea and vomiting, as well as to increase intestinal motility and to promote lactation. My mother is of age 68 years and has been taking pantocid(40 mgs) for past 6 years , (twice or thrice in a week). Because she gets burning in throat / chest. Some times the liquid came out from her nose also. Now she is daily taking Pantop-D (40mg). As she feels above symptoms almost daily / alternate day. We are worried about side effects. Can there be some better alternative. She is also having BP and high cholesterol. And takes BP medicines two times and cholesterol medicine one time. My mother takes safe-di-col sustain muscle release domperidone capsules as an antibiotic for relief in her musles. She has side effects like acute stomach pain which is why she is unwilling to take the capsules. Is there an alternative. Doctor suggests that she bear the pain for a few days. What will happen if she skips the capsules for a day or two?

round R113 written on onesidewhite small pill with ## Hi Jay, From what I could gather, this pill is Canadian and is identified as Domperidone (10 mg); which is a gastrointestinal medication that increases the movements or contractions of the stomach and bowel. Domperidone is also used to treat nausea and vomiting caused by other drugs used to treat Parkinson's Disease. My endoscopy revealed that I have ulcer.Uvulva:Bifid Uvulva, Stomoch:Antral Gastritis, Dudenum:Grade I Dudnenitis. The Doctor prescribed Ulcikit.I had it for fourteen days (14 ulcikit) Even after the I had pain in my left chest. The doctor now prescribed Dextraprazole Sodium &Domperidone SR Capsule and the doctor advised me to take for 10 days before meals at night. I want to Drugs should be given only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the foetus. Mechanism of Action Domperidone is a peripheral dopamine-receptor blocker. It increases oesophageal peristalsis, lower oesophageal sphincter pressure, gastric motility and peristalsis, thus facilitating gastric emptying and decreasing small bowel transit time.

In the morning I am feeling acidity in my stmach and I am taking pantop 40 OR Above5-D (Reberazole Sodium 20mg and Domperidone 30mg capsule) then I getting relief and feeling fit.
