Does This Med Act Like Steroids?f

I am on day 5 of 7 of amox tr-k clv 875-125 mg tabs for a uti. After day 2 I am acting as if I am on steroids. Rotor tilled and planted two gardens, planted 4-flats of flowers, 6-rosebushes cut lots of grass. Was not even achy or had sore muscles. Stayed up half the nite camping out.
Can't sleep at nite, talk non stop and not very hungry. This was all days 2-5. If it wasn't for the no sleep I'm getting a heck of a lot done.
Steroids?

No, it shouldn't cause that, but it's difficult to guess how any medication may affect anyone that takes it.

This is a generic for Augmentin, it's Amoxicillin with Clavulanic Acid and it usually causes the opposite problem in most people that take it, the normal side effects are nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and diarrhea, so not things that really make anyone want to run out and be active.

It could just be that this infection, or perhaps another were lingering in your body for awhile and now, with them clearing up, you're feeling an energy surge.

Things should settle back down once your done with the course of antibiotics.

If they don't, or if the sleep issues, not eating and etc. become a problem, you should speak to your doctor about it.

Maybe they are not treating me for the thing, I had the upper colon done, they could only do the upper because the stuff they gave me to drink I threw it back up so I was'nt cleaned out for the lower Colon test, they said my food is just sitting there not digesting, so I throw it back up, I have a BM something every two weeks or once a week I feel so bad all the time, my Doctor told me to go buy this pillow this that lets me sit up while I sleep, cause if I lay down I will throw up,if I lay down I feel everything in my chest go the left side, if I lay on my right side I feel everything go to the right side of my chest , but he gave me these pills Metoclopram 5mg to keep me from throwing up, I think my problem is deeper the Acid Reflux, I throw up, and I can't even use it unless I take Dulcolax I am very SAD
