Does nitrofur macr 100 mg help to reduce acne? I know it is a medication to help urinary infection.

It may help some, but it's generally not the preferred antibiotic to treat severe acne.

The antibiotic of choice is Doxycycline. Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

Did your doctor prescribe it for you? Or are you just looking for an acne solution?

I'd suggest asking your doctor about trying Doxycycline for it. My nephew had severe acne and taking a low dose of it daily, for several months, is what finally cleared it up of him.
