Is My Medication Causing Heartburn?

I've been taking Amoxicillin for a week now and have been experiencing heartburn and burping. Could this be due to the medication?

And yes, it may be due to the medication. Most medications can cause excess stomach acid.

This can sometimes be mitigated by taking it with a small meal or snack, but you should check with your doctor or pharmacist first to make sure that it is okay for you to do so.

My mother, aged 85, has been suffering from severe heartburn for several years. After closely monitoring her diet, I am convinced that it is not because of any food she is eating. I have tried using all known anti-heartburn/antacid medicine, both allopathic and ayurvedic, but they give only temporary relief. Could it be because of any of the medications she is taking? I have noted down below the medications she has been taking regularly for several years:

Diapride 1, Betacap 20, Clopilet 75, Telmevas AM, Redustat 5 and Quitipin 25.

Kindly advise me if any of the above medicine, if taken regularly, can cause heartburn?
