It actually depends on what type of test they are using. The regular tests will not detect it, because the Buprenorphine in the Suboxone is a synthetic opiate and they have to use a specific test, which includes the ability to detect it.

Tests that are capable of doing so are used by many pain management or drug addiction doctors, but rarely used by your typical employer, because they are more expensive.

My po just sent me to global drug testing. i am on felony probation and i am using the orange suboxone. i have not gone in for a drug test yet because my number has not been called yet but when my number is called and i go in to take the drug test will i fail? global drug testing sends ur pee to a lab and ive heard from my friends tht suboxone does not show up. but ive also heard tht if they suspect ur using it then they will test for it. i also should add tht i failed my 5 panel test for oxys so do u think tht gives them reason to test for suboxone???

I've been on Suboxone for 5 years and I'm finally tapering off it. I'm down to 6 mg. and I feel fine so far. I know for a fact that Suboxone will ONLY show up in a urine test, IF the doctor requests that they test for Suboxone, along with the other narcotics. Most doctors don't test for Suboxone, but if you are a Suboxone patient, they will DEFINITELY test for Suboxone. When I have to have my urine test, the prescription says, "Test for Suboxone also".

If you prefer the Suboxone pill, rather than the film, just tell your doctor the truth. He or she should have no problem with you using the pills instead of the films because the chemicals are identical.

Suboxone will only show up in a urine test if your physician specifically asks for the lab to test for "Suboxone" along with other narcotics and benzo's (xanax, valium, librium). I do believe that this will soon change, and the labs will start automatically include testing for Suboxone along with the other drugs. The drug war has gotten MUCH WORSE, and doctors are being highly pressured NOT to prescribe opiates. With good reason too. Too many people are dying from these drugs.

ok, so I have almost gotten in my 480 hours at the place where I am soon going full time, they do a saliva test and I'm pretty sure they send it to a lab. I do the orange strips, and do NOT have a script to vouch if they do test for it. Does anyone know whether this will show up on the lab results????

Is there a test that will include suboxone? Ex: like a 10 or 12 panel test that includes suboxone in the testing? Or is it a stand alone test that only test for one thing, which is suboxone?

It is not a seperate test or an alone test it is right on with the rest. Does anyone think that maybe if I go to another place they might not test for it?

There is no way they test for suboxone on a probation test strip. So no one fall for this one. The states are broke and it cost extra
