Does Lyrica Cause Increase Facial Hair Growth In Women?

I have been on Lyrica for one year. The dosage has slowly been increased. I am now taking 100mg am and 200mg pm. I have experience the common side effects of relating to brain functioning. I have also had an obvious increase in facial hair (I am female). Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, it has been known to cause that in some people as a side effect, along with nausea, dizziness, mood swings, and weight changes.

Have you discussed the issue with your doctor? There are other medications you can try that may not cause this side effect.

How old are you? Are you on other medications?

I have been taking Lyrica for two years I notice a increase of facial hair also I am a woman and my skin breaks out in rashes and sometimes nausea and weight gain ..I feeling very unpleasant..

I have been on Lyrica for a year and I am noticing that facial hair has increased on my face and I am having red rashes on it too. I've gained 30 lbs as well. I am so over it.

Lyrica is manufactured pure evil..I don't understand how it has even been allowed to be given to humans...The Dr and Gp's must know the destruction it leaves in its trail...it's changed me so much I don't like what iam anymore, so I understand the words over it...I tell people never take LYRICA...

Started taking pregabalin in December. As grateful as I am that my pain is so much more manageable and I can finally have a life, I now have acne on my face, neck, chest and back. I have facial hair starting to grow which I didn't before (female). My memory has gotten very bad. My eyes become glazed over and hard to focus a lot. It's all a lot better than being in constant pain or fear or pain and not having a life but it's a LOT to pay for it. I had a ganglion impar block last month and I'm praying it will allow me to come off the medication ??.
