Does Anyone Know Where To Find The Sandoz Adderall In Bay Area

Updated

I take 30 mg Adderall Ir and sandoz is the only brand that doesn't give me nausea. I don't know what's going on with the pharmaceutical companies but it's really had an affect on my life. I had to withdraw from nursing school because a drug company changed the formula and I felt like I was going crazy.

There is something going on with the formula. I've been working on it all weekend. I will get more specific information to you when I get it gathered. It seems like the 'PINK' pill is the problem. I've never taken Adderall, but I knew something was wrong. However I can assure you that you are NOT going crazy. There are so many of ADDers/ADHDers that are picking up on this problem. Even many people that have never taken it before. I am starting to think that it is because we are ADDers/ADHDers that we since that there is a problem. We use to be the 'hunters' of the world...so let go hunting...if you type in...'why is the adderall not working' or stuff like that in the bing or google search... information will start coming up...everybody thinks they are going CRAZY.

thanks, ya I found a lot of stuff about how people are going crazy. One women's son jumped out of a moving vehicle from the switch. I just don't understand why there isnt a lawsuit. I'd think someone could make some serious cash. Too bad I'm so nuts I can't even start to imagine taking a pharmaceutical company to court...especially since their base is a few countries away.

i love the name!

When it comes to generic medications, it isn't that the manufacturers are changing the formula. The problem stems from the fact that the generics are allowed to differ from the name brands, in the amount of the active ingredient, by as much as plus or minus 20%.

The U.S. FDA considers this an acceptable therapeutic window. However, some people are very sensitive to any fluctuation in a medication dosage. And the generics do not have to measure against each other, they only have to meet that acceptable window in measurement against the name brand.

So, say for instance you were taking one generic, Mixed Amphetamine Salts (the active ingredients in Adderall) and you were on the 10mg dosage, it could have contained the full 10mgs and worked great for you, but then your pharmacy switches to one from a different manufacturer and you discover that it doesn't work like it should. The reason could be, because with that 20% difference, the one from that company may actually only contain 8mgs.

The problem can be even more prominent if you were taking one that had more of the active ingredient, so instead of 10mgs, it could have contained 12mgs and you suddenly dropped to one that contains 8mgs, instead.

One thing you can do is talk to the pharmacy you use regularly and ask them if they can order the one from Sandoz in for you, though you may have to pay the price difference, if it is more expensive.

Thanks Verwon, for the info on your post. I have been on Adderall for about a year now (I'm 32), and have always taken the generic Adderall, orange oval pills with a 2|0 on one side and the b 973 on the other. They have done AMAZING things for me. I have always gotten this 'generic brand' because I could get it at Costco for around $30 bucks (that's for 60 pills, 20mg each) (And I think it says Barr... is that the mfgr?) ANYWAY, today (Sept, 2011), I went to Costco to fill my prescription, and it was $85.00!!?? WTH? When I called Costco about their price on 8/17/2011, it was $30 bucks. I had already dropped the script off at Walmart though, so I paid the $45 at Walmart and said to myself "Next month, I will remember to go to Costco and save myself $15 bucks" And now it's $85 dollars?! Wow... what in the WORLD is going on in the Big Pharma industry to make all this crap so crazy? (is my first question). And also: The pills I got from Costco are different than my usual... should I be worried? I mean, I wonder if the effect will be different. Jeez... so much for just going and getting your much-needed meds for a reasonable price!

Yes for some reason there is a big difference with this 30mg pink adderall has made me tired moody and headaches. My headaches get so bad that it interferes with my ability to drive. I have been on the IR for a long time and never had any problems but it was the dark Orange or dark peach looking. That one worked well and did not feel so dirty. Something has to be corrected bc to many people are suffering.

I got the Sandoz generic today after months of using the barr and I had to take double the dose to feel somewhat the same. Everyone says the Sandoz is great but I found the reverse to be true. This sux cause if I have to take double I will run out half way through the month. Should I call the pharmacy, it was the same pharmacy I had been getting barr from and for some reason they switched without me noticing until I took one and didn't feel anything so I looked at the pill and the imprint was different. This really blows but I don't have enough money to purchase another script right now and insurance will not cover another script so soon. Guess from now on I make sure I check the pills first.

I would have to agree about the pink sandoz, my prescriptions for months have said EON as the mfr on the bottle but they suddenly switched to BARR and they make me feel really anxious most of the time and even a little angry.. But now all of a sudden I can't find a pharmacy that carries the EON/SANDOZ...

I've been taking generic adderall for years. I try to get the orange oval ones because switching brand to brand would always give me headaches and make me so sick to my stomach for the 1st week on that new bottle then taper off but lately even the orange pills been making me so sick to my stomach and stressed. I've tried taking a few suggested remedies with the pills trying to keep me from getting sick but nothing works. Has anyone else had this problem and found a stomach soother? Thanks..

I just got my Adderal 10 mg (made by Sandoz) at Costco!!! I looked at different pharmacies and they didn't have it, or they will get it for you by paying $20 extra just to order it for you. Costco has it, so no need to keep shopping around.

Safeway recently started using Sandoz. I get mine in San Francisco at the one on 7th Aveune.

Also, if you're further south, a place I know that carries them is Haller's Pharmacy in Fremont.

The Sandoz really are the most effective generic for Adderall. Good luck!

ive been on adderall for over 2 years and get 20mg twice a day ir tabs. i had the new u30 ones from aurolife there the worst by far, i actually tried to return them cause my pharmacy switched to these and promised me next order id get the bar well they wouldnt gimme my script back and gave them to me for free hell i rather pay my 10usd co pay and get barr. I went to riteaid and got corepharma these are better then aurolife but still stink. i had the sandoz at first and they worked decent but i find for me the barrs are the best generics i also got the m malicolt ones and they are horrible. Ill rate the best imo barr great sandoz good corepharma ok the rest horrible if u see the m ones or u ones dont accept them they dont work horrible the only two acceptable generics are barr and sandoz and imo barr is the most effective and i go to cvs and they always have them used to get the sandoz then i moved and tried a local pharmacy and got the u aurelife ones twice then went back and got mallicolt told them id never go back. i stick to cvs has they always have the barrs and seem to be the best generic the sandoz work good too but the rest are pretty bad corepharma wasnt horrible but def not as good as barr so if you want a good generic stick to barr or sandoz both i find potent the barr for me work a little better but either one is good. just be aware of the malicolt m ones and the u ones from aurolife both didnt do crap i honestly think they had mayble half the dose which i know fda requires 80 percent of active ingrediate but i can get the u ones and ms alot cheaper but i rather pay 10 more bucks and get the barrs that actually work

Aurobindo is supposed to be the absolute WORST!!! Supposedly some CVS and other stores recently switched to that brand so make sure you find out what brand they are carrying before you accept the prescription.
