Doctors In Michigan That Prescribe Methadone (Page 4)

I'm interested in finding a private doctor's office (not a clinic) that will prescribe methadone. I can't afford these clinics! Does anyone know of a doctor???

Dr.Vargas in midland mi was the doctor that would prescribe anything under the sun for ya especially if you are female lol.I went to him for 9yrs before getting help for my opiate addiction at the clinic in mt.pleasant mi. the clinic automatically will take you and you will be fully funded if you have medicaid. if you have to pay cash then its 80 a week but you get your dose 7 days a week so you never feel sick and thats generally the idea i think for most people

All doctors with a dea number can precribe methadone for pain. If you go saying you there for addiction then you need and addiction specialist. I was seeing an addicition doctor paying 150 a month now that my insurance has kicked in he bille them for pain treatment. The doctor I go to is on 8 mile the Warren side, right by I75 and I go evry two weeks which is a hell of alot better than daily.

I have taken Methadone for pain for the past 10 years.I moved and because of insurance reasons I had to change doctors now I cant seem to find a doctor who will perscribe Methadone for pain. I tried to go to the clinic and they let me come for a week but dropped me because Im a pain patient not an addiction patient. Does anyone know of a doctor near Muskegon MI?

nah I get my Methadone from a doctor not a clinic for opiate dependency and pay less than $50 4 the office visit and the script! Just keep looking the doctors are the least you would expect!

Pam, please let me know if you could give me some help locating a doctor. im in michigan, been on methadone for 14 yrs and need a doctor. its ruining my life not having a script and ive gotta make some changes and take care of this problem before it kills me. any help would be appreciated. looking around the warren area

Jacob, I'll call you or E-mail you if you provide the information. I really don't like posting so much info. I go to a doctor on Dequindre prescribes pills. There is clinic at 9 & Van Dyke that I used to attend but that was a daily clinic both in Warren. I just went to a new one that I like in Madison Height which prescribes.

I too am looking for a dr that will prescribe methadone in muskegon, michigan. I went to the clinic for 4+ years. My jobs hours do not allow me to get to the clinic :( please if anyone knows of a dr let me know!! Sick as a dog...

Aleesha, I am just outside of Detroit in Warren. I do not know of doctors that far up. You can go online and look up physcian finder for suboxen and alot of those doctors prescribe methadone and they are all over. Do not be afraid to ask them for methadone, some do and some don't.

Are you talking about Doctor (Jullian) KUTINSKY the Suboxone Dr? His office in on 14 Mile Road between Ryan and Dequindre in Sterling Heights. I don't know any other Doctors in that area that do the $500 start fee. He charges $500 to start which covers the first month of appointments, during which time you see him weekly (if you don't have insurance you also have to pay for your prescriptions to be filled). Usually after the first month you only see him once every two weeks, then once a month for script refills/dosage adjustments. He'll charge your insurance company after the first month (I think it's $75-$100 per visit if you're not insured but I'm not positive on that, I have insurance but a friend who sees him doesn't and I think she said that's how much it was). He did my Suboxone treatment and was a very caring and kind Dr. He's also a recovering addict (30+ years clean!) so he knows what you're going through. He is VERY adamant that you go to AA/NA during your treatment since the meds alone aren't enough, you need treatment for the addiction as well. AA is what got him clean so he pushes for that. You have to get a paper signed at AA at least 3-5 days a week, but he prefers you do their "90/90" thing for newcomers (90 meetings in your first 90 days of AA/NA) but if you go at least 3 days a week he's cool.
