The problem likely doesn't have anything to do with the fact that they can't see the damage, because there are always medical tests that can prove it, as well as your medical history.
The problem probably stems from the fact that they have to be extremely careful about prescribing liberally, because all such prescriptions are monitored by the government and they have to be able to account for each one and their reasons for prescribing.
Have you considered just going with a pain management doctor, or clinic? That is usually the best bet for people in your situation.

Right now there is one posted on this page as an advertised PM doc, if you want liberal, he's your guy. Personally, I felt disgusted by his office, creepy druggies everywhere and left. A good PM will help you if you are legit, get your PCP to refer you and that should help. If not look at the advertising doc and book an appt. but be careful, seriously, be careful what you wish for, if YOU are not careful, you will become an addict.

Yes I was wondering the name of the liberal pm you were referring to in your post. I am a combat vet and was hit by an ied in Iraq a few years ago and have all legit MRI showing all my back problems I've been prescribed oxycodone 10mg and lt 10 mg and NEITHER of them work I am in legit pain and I can not work right bow do to it I have tried a medication called oxymorphone 15mg that worked wonders for me but can't find a dr that prescribes it. I am in no way a druggie . I'm just a man in legit pain could you pls send me the info to this dr I would greatly appreciate it. I live just outside of Louisiana I don't care if I have to travel a state or to away to find him that's how desprately bad I was injured pls pls send me the info.
