Dissolving Regular Metformin

Can I dissolve regular metformin ?
I can't swallow large pills

Hi Linda,

Based on my research, it seems like other people have already tried putting the tablet into water to see if it dissolved and they mentioned that it didn't.

However I've read that Metformin can also come in powder or liquid solutions depending on the brand, so if it comes down to it I would just ask your doctor for one of those scripts instead of the tablet.
