Hi, I usually take about 2 or 3 0.5mg zopax tablets during the day to function "normally" and 2 or 3 at night to get a nights sleep. I know that I am addicted to it but I now want to stop as I really want to get my life back as I have 2 kids and don't want to fail them. I know that once I'm off these and recover I will be able to lead a normal med free life because I really don't want to depend on medication but am so afraid of withdrawal pains especially insomnia. when I first started taking it to help me stay calm but more to knock me off at night it seemed like a fantastic miracle but now not so much as I feel like I can't go without it and when I do take it I really feel lethargic and sleepy not how I was before starting, an active happy person, I want to be the same again and be able to just close my eyes normally to get some sleep I have taken 1 pill 0.5mg a few hours ago but don't have any more and am not financially in a position to go and get any more right now and am so tired of this vicious cycle that I figured it's a good time to stop completely as I've been working myself up to do so for a while, my only really deep fear is that I won't be able to sleep again, I am determined but also so afraid of the peak withdrawal symptoms, please help with any advice.

Hi, Please stay away from azor. I have taken Azor for two years and the same happened. I ended up taking about 7 to 8 tablets a day and I thought I could operate normal. Very soon you will start becoming so emotional its really bad worst than any drug. This is extremely dangerous and the withdrawn symptoms are very bad. You hit a low low low..To recover you go on a number of other sedative medicine but a different family. Please get off them for your children sake, I know what I'm talking about!

Hi Werner, thank you loads for your reply, it really helps to know I'm not alone in this dilemma. I totally get the feeling low part, how did you get off, cold turkey? I feel that going off cold turkey will probably be the only way as I've tried tapering and each time gradually picked the dosage up again, so yep tapering does not work for me. I really wanna get off cos I know that I'm not giving my kids my complete self since I'm either tired or down though I do try my best I know it still dulls my full emotion to them and I feel so lethargic that I'd rather spend time laying around than running around having fun with them like I used to before. please advise I truly appreciate your feedback
