Diltiazem is a calcium channel blocker, so it may cause side effects, such as nausea, headache, hypotension and dizziness.

You can read more about the medication and additional side effects here:

Is there anything else I can help with?

Theresa, it can vary, depending on the dosage and how long you were taking it.

I am very sensitive to medications and usually found that when I suffered bad side effects and discontinued one, it took 2 weeks at a minimum for them to wear off and the max was usually about 4 weeks.

I took diltiazem cd 180 for almost a year with horrible side effects including seizure.
I too am very sensitive to meds. I have been off the diltiazem for 10 days and also stopped taking seizure med a week ago. I had a seizure early this morning and suspect that the drug could still be in my system.
