I'm taking a medical transcription course and I'm having trouble hearing a word. 8 mg isn't a common dose for most drugs, so I'm hoping someone can offer some suggestions. The word in question seems to end in did but sounds like it begins with a C or K possibly. My first thought was Dilaudid, and the medication could be for pain as it's for a post bone marrow transplant, but it really just doesn't sound like the speaker is saying that at all. ## I am sorry, I am really not finding anything else that has that dosage and ends with did. Dialudid does have an 8mg dosage, as well as several other medications, like Atacand for blood pressure. Does anyone else have any ideas?

dilota ## Did you mean the pain medication Dilaudid? It contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone and is a narcotic analgesic. It is a very strong medication, they gave it to me in the ER the other night and I didn't feel anything afterwards for several hours. It does, however, cause side effects: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, constipation and vomiting. Read more:

k-3 pills in purple color would like to know what is in them and can and where in U..S texas can we get them? ## still do not see the ingerdents in k-3 pills on any of the sites ilook at that you said to look at. ## I'm sorry, is K 3 the marking on the tablet or the name of the product? Narrowing down what a foreign medication is can be very difficult, their markings are not logged with the FDA like U.S. prescription medications have to be. I found a pink K 3 tablet that is from the U.S. and is a 3mg Dilaudid tablet, that contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone, it is a potent narcotic used to treat pain. Could this possibly be what you are referring to?

I had surgery on Thursday and my doc perscribed me dilaudid 4mg 30 pills to be exact I have taken about 26 of them since Thursday and they haven't done anything for me do u somethings wrong?? ## It is possible that this medication just does not work for you. However, rather than continuing to take more and more of them, you should have contacted your doctor or pharmacist. Dialudid contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone, this is a very potent narcotic and taking too many creates a very real risk of a possible fatal overdose. Have you contacted your doctor, yet?

I was in the hospital with extreme back pain. The doctors told me that they were giving me IV injections of Dilaudid(2), Morphine8mg, Toradol and Valium. I got no relief for my pain but felt relaxed. I went and had bloodwork done 12 days after my hospital visit and my blood was clean of Toradol, Dilaudid and Morphine. What would be the best test to PROVE TO THE hospital that they did not give me any pain medications? ## It may very well be that they were giving you pain medications, it just might not have been quite enough.
