I have severe stabbing pain in my shoulder. When the pain starts my blood pressure shoots to 220/140 with a 133 pulse. I was prescribed Hydrocodone and sometimes if I don't get a severe attack it works. If I have a big attack I have Dilaudid prescribed as well. Question: If a take a Norco and the pain increases do I need to wait the full 6 hours to take a Dilaudid; or, what's the soonest I can take it?

What are the prescribing instructions? I'm sorry, but I need more details in order to answer your question. Can you please post back and clarify?

The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as constipation, dizziness, headache, nausea, and dry mouth.
