Difference Between Drugs Of The Same Name.

I just got some 5 mg. diazepam for anxiety and sleep help. They are orange, produced by MYLAN. I have never seen this drug in any color but yellow. Now, I am worried. Is there any difference in this orange diazepam from the yellow diazepam? I knew what to expect fromthe yellow ones. I am leary of the orange tablets.

It's important to know that when you switch brand names or manufacturers, the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it.

Certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each brand, are actually detrimental to how the drug is metabolized and used by your body. Because everyone is different, your body may agree with one medication over the other, due to how you feel or based on whatever side effects present themselves.

I would personally give the orange ones a go, just to see how it feels in comparison. If they don't seem to work as well, then you may want to contact your pharmacy to see what you could do to switch back to the yellow ones you had before.
