My wife has been taking S Amlong 2.5 mg twice a day for the last 3-4 years. Can she take Amlodipine 2.5 mg instead of S Amlong 2.5 mg? Does it make a difference or is it one and the same medicine? Please guide me.

They are the same, so she can take either one.
The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.
Is she on any other medications?

S amloadipine 2.5 mg is actually equivalent to amlodipine 5 mg tab. So consult úr doctor before dropping meDicine. If low blood pressure persits you can drop down it. However smloadipine is better for high systolic blood pressure in recent studies and it have lower side effects on ankle swelling problems that traditional amload gives.
