Did My Generic Adderall Cause Me To Test False Positive For Methamphetamine? (Page 4)

I take d-amphetamine salt combos 20mg twice daily, and I recently had a hair drug test for pre-employment purposes. I tested positive for methamphetamine at a level of 570ng/mg, but I have never touched meth! They already did the GC/MS, and are now doing an isomer test, but they say that my adderall could NOT have cause a positive meth result! I've seen in other responses that this is possible, however I can't find any documentation to prove this. I've read over the Adderall and methamphetamine information profiles on this site, but still don't have the proof I need. Does anyone know where I can find this documentation? Please help!

That is an amazing story and I'm going through the same thing. Thank you for the information because I want to challenge my drug screen because this has happened to me for years and it's maddening. I don't do Methamphetamine and I can't seem to get anyone to believe me because I keep showing up with positive drug screens for it all over the place and I have even tried Methamphetamine about 4 years ago but I hated it because it gave me a panic attack. I haven't touched it since but the first drug test I failed for Methamphetamine was in 2008 and I was on probation and this was before I took Adderall and had taken Vyvanse and then got on Adderall and I had to do 45 days in jail because the probation officer said that I failed for Methamphetamine but I found out later that the PO didn't know what he was looking for and he thought amphetamine and Methamphetamine were the same thing but at that point had never laid eyes on Methamphetamine. But I use to take pain pills and it caused me to pick my skin and I was called a Methamphetamine addict, by everyone including my own family and I had never even seen the drug and my Sister had Social Services called on me and my children were young and they tested me at a lab and said I had Methamphetamine in my system and took my children right out of my arms and they sent it to a more in-depth lab and it was accurate. Years went by and I was having a rough time and my kids were living with their Dad and I decided I would see what the big hype was so I tried and had a horrible experience and vowed not to touch it again and I've straightened my life out and my Husband and I have this strict pact with each other to never do street drugs and I still get my Adderall xr. 30 MG twice a day that I have abused by taking more but I never touch Methamphetamine and it's coming back to haunt me again. Here come all of these positive drug screens for something that I'm not doing. I've got to prove my innocence.

Holy crap that amount is super duper high. I've been taking prescribed adderall for decades and way back when had taken some methamphetamine that might have been a bath salts combo and got a dui. The blood test levels only showed 96ng of one and 60ng of the other drug.

I am on the sweat patch through probation and take 2 20mg adderral xrs and just found out EVERY patch (4 of them, 3 on for a week last one for 2 weeks) have tested positive for meth, very low levels but still positive. I haven't used. I realize the proof is completely against me and I have an appointment with probation in an hour. It would be easier to simply tell them I used so they might take pity on me and I know they value honesty, but I HAVE NOT USED so cannot and will not admit it. The testing agency/lab will not admit any possibility of inaccuracy, from metabolizing adderall or something else. If they DID admit possibility of inaccuracy then why would anyone continue using them? I do not know what I was trying to gain by talking with them.

This situation is horrible. God is doing it for a reason even though I do not understand right now. How can I try to grasp infinite power and knowledge? I just hope it does not cost me too severely, and I can continue a free and sober life. It looks like the scientific community is split on my situation being possible, but I know the truth. There is no chance for accidental or environmental ingestion, it simply is absolutely a false positive. The levels appear to be decreasing, but still are there, and shouldn't be after almost a month and a half when I relapsed after my VERY best friend was killed and admitted use to probation, thus put on the sweat patch.

Probation is not horribly unreasonable, or out to get me. I hope things go okay, but understand what it looks like. I feel extreme dismay for anyone in a similar circumstance with more absolute consequences. Something needs to be done, because something is definitely wrong, there are too many posts by people in a similar situation for there not to be a correlation.

You are disgustingly wrong . Do you realize that I was able to PROVE that it was a false positive on my urinalysis via doing a hair follicle test? TWICE 9 YEARS APART? If you actually do your research, it is well documented that Zantac /Ranitidine causes false positive results. As a matter of fact, call Zantac bc they tell you. Keep your opinions to urself unless they are constructive in some way. Obviously, this hasn't affected your life like it has a lot of us on here. You have NO IDEA HOW horrible it is being accused of something when in fact, I have never even SEEN methamphetamine. Shame on you.

You're always going to test positive on adderall but if you have a prescription for it they're not allowed to count it against you for employment I know this because it happened to me and I got the job anyway
