Dexona (Dexamethasone) is a corticosteroid hormone that is used to treat a variety of conditions such as arthritis, blood disorders, allergic reactions, skin conditions, eye disorders, respiratory problems, as well as bowel disorders and certain types of cancer. It works by preventing the release of certain substances in the body that cause inflammation and discomfort associated with these conditions. However, a physician may also prescribe it to treat other unlisted conditions.

Practin (Cyproheptadine) is in a class of medications called antihistamines and is primarily used for relieving red, irritated, itchy, watery eyes; sneezing; and runny nose caused by allergies, irritants in the air, and hay fever. It may also be used to relieve the itching of allergic skin conditions, and to treat hives. It works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms.
