have taken 60 mg dexilant for two years.for acid reflucx
then started having a lot of pain in my hips..finally looked at side effect.and guess what,bone density and hip problems
#1 on the list.quit taking this stuff and the ole stomach is back making as much or more acid as ever...help

The proton pump inhibitors, such as the Dexlansoprazole in this, are known to cause some problematic side effects, in some people that take them.

However, if you are still having an acidity problem, you might need to try a different type of antacid, such as Pepcid, which contains the active ingredient Famotidine:
