I believe the medication you're referring to is Dilaudid, which contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone, this is a very potent narcotic pain reliever.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

i have had similar issues with some friends but i kept myself far away from them. the only thing u can really do is sit them down and tell them how you feel and offer them some help. bu they have to want help people that dont want help are not gonna change. they have to want it to stop. in most cases they have to hit rock bottom before they have a wake up call. offer them to go to meetings or get there familys together and do a intervention and maybe they will go to rehab. they might get mad @ you @ first but you are only looking out for their best interest. let them know your there friend and you will be there for them but set ground rules with them and stick to them thats the only way they will get it. hope this helps you. good luck !

I have been on Oxycontin for 18 months, 80 mg twice a day. I also take percocet as a break thsu drug. My disease is Pagets and have had it for 56 years. I am from northern England and it is quite prevalent there. My pain has got more painful as the years pass. The pain wakes me up about 4 times a night and have dry mouth. Constipation, muskulatory pain throughout my body and cannot do much of anything. I am now 80 years old and do not have many people that are going thru what I am going thru. I think my doctor is brilliant and I don't want to get on her wrong side but would like to know what are the drugs that are recommend to treat me. Most doctors say it is chronic athritis and do not seem too familiar with pagets. Can you help me.
