Darvon/darvocette/propoxophene Class Action Status

Any info about the Darvon lawsuit? I took it for 30+ years with great pain relief. I cannot take narcotics that contain NSAIDs, so I'm now limited to Dilaudid, Morphine, Oxy-Contin, etc. I would much prefer to take Darvon, a drug in it's own class, even though I did suffer two strokes that could be related.

I know there are lawsuits out there over the medications that contain Propoxyphene, but that is not why they were removed from the market and thus, it is highly unlikely that they will ever return to the market for us.

The reason they were removed from the market is because the Propoxyphene and its relatives were found to be cardiotoxic, they caused a very real risk of cardiac problems, in some of the people that were using them.

As to narcotics that contain NSAIDs, are you also including Acetaminophen in this? Because its not considered an NSAID and is available in various formulations coupled with several narcotics.

I was prescribed Darvocet by my primary physician. When my prescription expired, I went back to the same Doc. who said Darvocet was not longer available since it was causing problems. Sure enough,
aprox 6 months later I suffered a cerebral stroke that left my left side paralyzed & my left eye blind. The Doc said I should watch for a class action suite & I/m still looking. Anyone know of a Class Actopm
