I cannot take hydrocodone and darvon was working great. I could handle it just a night if it was codiene, but don't know what to ask for. Chronc back pain. ## All medications that contain Propoxyphene have been removed from the market, by the FDA. It is a very mild pain reliever, which means you probably don't need anything strong and there are many options on the market to choose from. Has your doctor made any suggestions?
