I was put on Daliresp and my Dr gave me 21 free pills - it works wonders - then I find it is not covered yet by Ill. Medicaid. Contact forest Pharme ceuticals , they may be able to help with prescriptions - it is worth a try. ## Awesome! I am so glad that it's working for you. Your post to inform others is also greatly appreciated! Is there anything I can help with?

Doc has me trying Daliresp, haven't started taking it yet cause I am scared of all the side affects. Should I be worried? I read all the side affects and it scares the hell out out of me. Not really sure it is safe enough to take. ## Hello, Jim! How are you? The important thing you have to remember is that those are just possible side effects, not everyone experiences them. The only way to know how any medication will affect you is to actually try it. The most common side effects to this medication can include diarrhea, weight loss, insomnia and decreased appetite. Is there anything specific that you're concerned about? I will gladly find more information for you.

Is anyone on the new inhaler Tudorza and a new drug for copd called Daliresp and have you had any problem s with either one. I started to have problems with Spiriva and Advire so now I am on Symbicort and Tudorza. What other inhaler would go good with Symbicort as I am not sure how I feel about Tudorza. ## I may not have an exact answer to your questions, but there's actually another thread on here discussing user's personal experiences with Daliresp, if you're interested in having a look at: Discuss/Daliresp-Experience-219303.htm Have you tried any natural remedies for asthma/copd? If not, I'd also consider researching various types of essential oils and their properties. Many of them are excellent options that can be used in conjunction with an inhaler. I hope this hel...

Well have taken Daliresp for one week today. Really have not noticed much yet. The insurance is going to pay for it. I guess I was hoping for to much, it just gets me down not being able to get outside and work. ## Hi Jana, It may take longer than a week for the medication to build up in your system and to take effect- so don't give up hope yet. I'll link you to a thread where other users talk about their experiences with this Daliresp, maybe that will give you a better idea of what to expect. Everyone does react to medication differently, but at least you will have the support of others who know more about the medication. Discuss/Daliresp-Experience-219303.htm You can learn more about this drug on the page for Daliresp Details I hope this helps!

Have happily lost 20 lbs but is there a woman on earth who wdn't be thrilled w that? The downside is an already aching back becoming horrendously painful crying out for painkillers ! Also, more frequent need for real bathroom breaks. A difficult choice to make.....has anyone tried going on and off the drug in some organized manner.I went off it for 1 wk but the elephant became intolerable so I put myself back on .Now shall see what ensues re side effects previously experienced.s ## Hello, Congrats on losing the 20lbs! Although I just read that roflumilast can cause weight loss as a side effect, I can only imagine how great that might make someone feel if they felt the need or desire to lose weight. :) But while I don't have any personal experience on this medication, I did want ...

I started taking Daliresp five ago and I have flu like symptoms, very sick to my stomach, headache, dizzy, nervous, tightest burning sensation in my chest. But my main problem is acid reflux and gas. I take 20 mg Prilosec twice a day and I can't eat anything because of this. Just wondering anyone has had this problem and if so what did they do help themselves. I really do what to give this medicine a change to work. But just don't know how long I can take it. Thank you for your help. ## Those types of side effects were actually the most prevalent and problematic issues reported when this medication was being tested. Learn more Daliresp details here. Since they were considered to be mostly annoying, rather than dangerous, it was approved anyway. You may want to see if you can adj...

Has Anyone Had A Reaction To Daliresp That Made Them Have Delusions? If So How Long Does It Take to Recover From them? ## Hi Mike, If it's of any help, I noticed the following symptoms (listed below) to be side effects of Daliresp (Roflumilast). Perhaps they could explain the delusional/psychiatric effects your describing: nausea dizziness headache uncontrollable shaking of a part of your body lightheadedness fast heart beat Ref: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a611034.html#side-effects Based on Roflumilast's half life of 17-30 hours, I would imagine that the effects should stop within a couple days at the most after stopping the medication. Has it gotten to the point where you would need to seek any sort of medical attention? ## mom had day surgery on 11/30/12, she is no ...

When might be the best time of day to take this medication? Is it better to take it in the morning or evening? ## What has your doctor or pharmacist advised? In many cases, these types of medications are used in the morning, or during the day, when you are going to be out and about and therefore face the greatest possibility of being exposed to substances that can aggravate your condition. However, you should check with you doctor to be certain of the best dosing time for you.

My dad was put on daliresp and has emphazema and lives alone. I live 200 miles away from him so I can't check on him daily and am concerned about the side affects of this drug!! I have also read it is not for emphazema so am wondering why he is on this drug at all. I have called his doctor and am waiting for them to call me. He of course had weezing but has for years. Why would they put him on this drug???? ## I understand your concern. My dad has emphysema which is a form of copd and lately his breathing tests were getting worse; he was also getting more short of breath with minimal exertion. He is 94 and I was very concerned about the side effects. He started the drug and immediately he had severe insomnia - much worse than usual - he coped by taking cat naps to get him through th...

Just wanted to add some additional information regarding my experience with Daliresp. It does cause moderate to severe anxiety. That, in turn, causes me to have trouble breathing. In the beginning I did not think that the pill was doing me that much good; however, if you take a mile anxiety medication ( I am taking .25 mg. Alprazolam each morning) the anxiety is less and you can really see your strength coming back. The elephant is gone from my chest. Today I lowered my oxygen by 1/2 liter. I am going to try that each week as a goal to see how far I can get before I hit the wall. Regards and Good Luck!! ## Where you looking for the other thread you were using about experiences with Daliresp? If so, here's the link: In the future, you can respond to that thread directly by using the ...

I have copd/chronic bronchitis. Allergic to most albuterol, advair, and rely on primatene mist, but want to try daliresp - i'm eager to see how others are doing. ## does the use of daliresp affect libido or erectile function in male patients ## I believe that like any other medication, there are some people it works well for and others for whom it doesn't. There is another discussion on our site from people that have been using it, which you may be interested in: Richard, those aren't listed as common side effects, but it is difficult to say how any medication may affect anyone that uses it. Have you consulted your doctor?

My Dr. gave me three months suppy of samples. The medication worked great. But now medicaid won't cover it.I have been off of it for 3 months now and am having one attack after another.I go back to Dr. on the dec.27 hope he has more samples. When i went to my Dr. after taking daliresp he said it was the best my lungs have sound in a long time.Any suggestions would be appreciated. ## I am sorry, but I really don't have any advice to give you. The only thing you can really do in this situation is see if your doctor can keep getting the samples for you. There are some assistance programs, but they are only for people that do not have any prescription insurance coverage, at all. Have you tried checking with your insurance company to see why they won't cover it? Some of them have ce...

I am into my fourth month with Daliresp. Doing very well now. Just about all the side effects are gone - was glad to get rid of the anxiety and insomnia. I haven't lost weight, but I have to eat alot to maintain my current weight. I have gone from 3 1/2 liters of oxygen to 2 1/2 liters without having to decrease my activity. I am happy with that. Very happy. Am anxious to see if anyone else is having any luck with this drug. The only issue I have is that it is very expensive. ## Very glad that it is working so well for you. We have some posts from other people that have been using it, here is a link to that discussion: And more information on the medication here: How are you doing, now?
