The blister packs of "Crestor" are confusing. Each pack contains 15 pills that start on a Sunday and end up with a "Take this pill last", which also happens to be a Sunday. So I have finished one complete blister pack and the next pack says "Follow daily sequence", which also starts with a Sunday. I hope I've explained myself clearly as the packaging IS confusing. ## Those are actually just supposed to be starter packs to get someone in the habit of taking them and up to the correct dosage, if they are being titrated up. You really don't have to start it on a Sunday, nor do you have to start the next part of the pack on a Sunday, the pills have no way of knowing what day of the week it is, when you take them and neither does your body. Learn more Rosuvastatin details here. Learn more Atacand details here. Have you talked to your doctor? You're probably going to need their assistance to figure out which one is doing it. Though, I have to admit that it is probably most likely the Crestor, because it has been well known to cause...

I have higher levels of all components from Lipid Profile and low HDL. My total cholesterol is 370mg/dl. I started with Rozavel F 5 after 3weeks I have tremendous pain in my upper back and shoulder. I stopped Rozavel and had muscle relaxants. Then I re started after 2 weeks, I am suffering from continous pain in my triceps and biceps region, its untolerable. For the last 6months, I was on Crestor 20mg and had I was very comfortable. I will ask my doctor to shift me to Crestor, which is also Rosuvastatin 20mg ## If you keep taking medications that contain the same active ingredient, you will probably keep experiencing the same problems. Have you talked to your doctor about trying an alternative medication, such as Fenofibrate?

is there a canadian savings card for crestor like they have in the states they offer a 50.00 dollar savings so a person only has to pay about 18.00 ## In the U.S. a prescription for Crestor actually starts at around $155 USD, so they actually still end up paying over $100 if they don't have insurance. Drugs here are nowhere near as cheap as they are in Canada. And no, I'm sorry, but the only savings card I can find is only good in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Have you tried asking your doctor if there is a generic alternative that you can use?

I need patient assistance with Crestor 20 mg. medication. How can I go about applying, if possible? ## Astra Zeneca, the manufacturer, actually has an excellent assistance program for people that require their medications, but don't have prescription coverage. It's called AZ&Me and offered through RxAssist, you can contact them about applying at 800-424-3727. It is based on income, so some people that qualify receive their medications for free and others pay based on a sliding fee scale. Is there anything else I can help with?

currently on 20mg crestor however benefits have runout and can't afford meds is there any over the counter drug or vitiamin which can replace this? Please advise thanks ## Unfortunately, no, there is isn't. Have you spoken to your doctor about an alternative? There are generics available for some cholesterol medications, which would be a lot cheaper. However, I am unsure of the specific ones that are available in Canada. You can also check with the manufacturer to see if they offer an assistance program for it to their Canadian users. It is manufactured by AstraZeneca and they offer several great programs in the U.S. for people without coverage. You can contact them at 905-277-7111 or 800-565-5877 Are there any other questions or comments?

1 am 47y old>>>married>>> also had high ipid profile>>> i get medicationasCRESTOR ALS BISOCOR PLUS FOR HYPERTENSION>>>>i sufferd from lipido???what can i do mahmoud ## Crestor actually contains the active ingredient Rosuvastatin and it is used to help lower cholesterol, not to treat high blood pressure, so it should help. It may, however, cause side effects, like nausea, dizziness and joint/muscle aches. More details: In addition to using it, you should also watch the amount of fats and cholesterol in your diet and make sure to get enough proper exercise. Bisocor Plus contains Bisoprolol and Hydrochlorothiazide, so this is the one used to treat your hypertension. Side effects from it may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and stomac...
