Color Of Pill Changed

I have been taking Zolpidem 10 mg for several months for insomnia. It mostly works pretty well. I got a new supply from my insurance (Medco) and instead of white, the pill is pale orange. Is there is reasonable explanation for this?

I also got the pale orange pills. They are not working nearly as good. I am waking up in the middle of the night. I called medco and they said there have been a number of compliants and they are looking in to this new supplier.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I never could get a straight answer from Medco.
The new ones seem to work about as well as the others - For the last several weeks they haven't done for me what they used to. Hope they are the kind that requires more and more to have effect.

There are no rules saying that all generics must be the same color, just because it contains the same ingredient, the company can make them whatever color they wish and even change the color any time they wish.

If you post back with the imprint from the tablets, I will gladly double check to make sure it contains the proper ingredient for you.

Have you also tried asking your pharmacist?

Darned if I can tell what the imprint is - it looks like a square Domino with 5 dots. But this is really tiny.
The other side of course says 10 mg

Thanks ...I have to take more...I was biting off about 30% of the pill at 11:00 and then about 4:00 just taking a wee bit...only using about 50% of the 10 mg pill...NOW I need more...I sent this post to my daughter to call medco again...

Call medco and cuss them out...i took apotex brand from Medco,have Tinnitus for 15 years worked great,now they gave me a round white.which was a sugar pill,called them,didn't believe me.Now pink pill is the same shi....no sleep

The pink pill is from Torrent pharma.from India They are junk....Medco told me to go to walmart and get one prescript. of Apotex brand ,,,was gonna cost 300 dollars.even though they were on my insurance...

found out FDA shut down APOTEX pharm. for unknown reasons.i call themthey said should be making Apotex zoldipem in about a month

I just got some ambein from china and they are green with A 20 on them my husband has zolpide. Is this ambein or zolpide or what and they are 20 mg?

I have a RX from medco for zolpidem ,orange in color.mfg Torren
Has anyone had any further info on this pill? I tried it and it did nothing/

I too received the peach-colored Zolpidem Tartrate Tabs (manufacturer Torrent) from Medco. I specifically had my doctor check "no generic/no substitutions" and Medco disgustingly sent me something that does NOTHING. It doesn't even make me slighltly drowsy...they basically sent me a peach colored powder. I will file a complaint with my employer and I will file complaints wtih Sanofi Aventis. Once I calm down, I will figure out who else to contact. I just read that Medco has settled many million dollar claims for FRAUD. Attention to all employers--do not use Medco to manage prescriptions. Disgusting!!!

Yes they are Logo 10 mg light orange/peach oblong tablets, they do not make me sleepy like the other brands I used to take the pill and drift off to sleep within minutes

i just started taking the peach zolpidem they don't work on me. Seems like this is a commn problem are we getting screwed with useless pills or does this just react different on different people I am calling my hospital pharmacy.

I just started taking the peach oblong ones 3 data ago and when I take them they make me feel like I took a hunch of tylonol pm... Skin is crawley and weird... I want my purple ones back!!! Why are they different?
