Hello. I was given a few Cogentin (Benztropine 2mg) for my anxiety. Does this medication help at all for anxiety? Any help would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you.

No, it is not usually prescribed for anxiety, it is most commonly used to treat the symptoms of Parkinson's Disease, as well as the side effects of some medications.

The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and diarrhea.

Are you on any other medications?
