I’m 35 years old. I was placed on clozapine at the age of 13. I managed to get my life together, became stable enough to become an inspiration to others by becoming a teacher's assistant teaching barista coffee skills. Thing’s completely fell apart as soon as I met a new doctor this year. She forced the decision to change to lurasidone and nothing could stop her. I even tried to get help from my parents. She took the decision way too lightly and destroyed everything I achieved and it was extremely hard for me to get where I was, as I had to drop out of high school because of clozapine. I saw the side effects of lurasidone and I tried to protect myself but she’s a clever bully. I eventually gave in and tried lurasidone to respect my parents as she convinced them. It...

My son has been in the Hospital for 6 weeks for schizophrenia. He is on his fourth medicine (clozapine). The first week he was taking 25mg, then 50mg & only heard voices a little, now going on his 3rd week and almost up to 200mg and the voices are stronger and getting a little violent. This medicine is poison point blank and the symptoms and side effects only get worse the higher the milligrams and the longer the individuals is on this medication. I'd like to know if there is anybody out there that takes Clozapine and consumes marijuana? Did Clozapine relieve you of audio hallucinations? Are you now consuming marijuana while taking Clozapine? ## Im currently taking Clozapine. I would like to start smoking marijuana again. I have been unable to get Clozapine (generic for Clozaril) since Feb. 2019 at my regular pharmacy alledgely due to "backorder". I don't believe "backorder" is the real reason. I live in NJ and I recently read that many of the generic drug houses are being investigated due to collusion. They are trying to drive up the prices of these meds and the way to do it is through collusion. I note that Adderall and other psychiatric meds are also on backorder. If this is true they should throw the book at these vulchers. ## I live in Essex County, NJ. I gradually reduced and totally stopped Clozapine about 6 weeks ago and since that time I have had bad physical side effects: pain above right ear and in jaw with lots of grating sounds when I chew, sweating like you would not believe when hungry and of course the insomnia. I ws on Clozapine for roughly 17 years but it turns out that I was misdiagnosed and do not and never did have schizophrenia although did have psychosis caused by something else. Dear sir I have been taking Sizopin 25 and Trinicalm plus for the last 2 years and suddenly stopped. Over the last 2 months I developed back pain and muscle pain. Is it a true withdrawal symptom? ## Yes, it could be, according to the NIH. Other withdrawal effects are listed as possibly including nausea, diarrhea, rebound depression, and anxiety. My son is hospitalized in a psychiatric hospital. Doctors are giving him Sizopin 400mg. What i understand is that 400mgs is the highest available dosage. Found some pills & need to id. They are all pale yellow & have GG scored on one side and CZ 25, CZ 100 or CZ 200. ## light yellow, round, pills with ZC 25 on one side. ## Sounds like Clozapine. Scored with upper case "G" above and below the score mark. It comes in all the strengths you mentioned.

My son is schizophrenia X11 yrs. he takes clozapine 500 mg. risperadone 6 mg, and clonazepam 4 mg. he takes all of this at night and has been for 7 yrs. this past wk he has suffered a MAJOR relapse. I brought him to see his shrink to day and he ups his risperadone to 8 mg. My son sets up his meds in a wk long med box, I check them just by counting the pills and knowing the colors. As I was preparing his meds tonight I noticed there were an awful lot of clozapine left in the bottle. Upon further checking I realized he had been taking 5 (1mg) tablets of clonazepam instead of clozapine! The 2 pills almost are identical. So he was accidentally off his clozapine for 1 wk, this explains his super bad relapse. I decided to give him 100mg of cloz(instead of his usual 500mg dose) he ways 250lbs....

I am taking Sizopin 25mg at night and I am one month pregnant. Please let me know if Sizopin is well tested on pregnant woman or not? Can I continue taking Sizopin during and after the pregnancy? ## Manisha, According to nih.gov, Sizopin (Clozapine) is in pregnancy category B - meaning that "animal studies have revealed no evidence of harm to the fetus, however, there are no adequate studies in pregnant women OR animal studies have shown an adverse effect, but adequate studies in pregnant women have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus." my son started taking clozapine a month ago. He is supposed to be taking 300mg a day in three segments. I can't even get him awake long enough to take all of it. When i tried to give him the 200 at nite he gets sick and throws up. He won't eat befor he takes it either, very rebellious. He also takes depakote, xanax, propranalol and paxil. He has high anxiety levels and is still delusional. He wants to be delusional when it is fun, but it's not always fun.He is totally secluded except for his family, which is only mom,dad and sister. He has no interest in nothing since he started taking it. ## Have you talked to his doctor about these issues? I'm not a doctor myself, but from what I know about medications, it certainly sounds like he might need some medication adjustments...

Is it good for anxiety attacks ## Did you mean to say Clozapine? I haven't come across any medications listed under the name Clotypin. Clozapine is in a class of medications called atypical antipsychotics. However it's only indicated for use in the treatment of symptoms associated with schizophrenia. Anxiety may be an off-label use, but since it doesn't list it as an indication I would probably still recommend contacting your doctor about using it for that specific purpose. - just to be on the safe side.
