Clonazepam Ingredients Mylan Brand Vs Teva Vs Accord (Top voted first)

Please help with this, i have taken the mylan brand for several years, when the pharmacy could no longer order it they ordered Teva, it immediately gave me pains that seemed to be in my chest....kind of the opposite of what it's supposed to do. So with Mylan being available though only two pharmacies, someone mentioned accord...but what is the difference of fillers. could you simply list all the ingredients for all three brands so if Accord matches Mylan i'm ok?

Sorry to hear about your experience with the different makers of Clonazepam. I hope you've gotten around to feeling better since the timing of your post.

For the past 6 months I have been taking 1 milligram clonazepam made by Mylan. In addition, this past month I was forced to take home Adderall manufactured by the same Mylan company. It would be an understatement to say that I had never before experienced such a prolonged, never ending bout of anxiety. It was only until my pharmacy gave me the Teva brand clonazepam that I realized that for months I had basically been taking a sugar pill. Unbelievable. To seal the deal, I had always taken Teva brand Adderall. When I was given the Mylan brand the past month I thought I would have a heart attack. It's sad that here in America, where mental illness is continually on the rise, that we can not be provided with a safe, consistent generic medication. It's true: all we need to do us follow the money to learn the truth of these multibillion dollar drug manufacturers. Scary...

Sad to say but all clonazepams are NOT the same..like they like to tell you in the emergency room when you come across another brand or a batch that was made in India or some place the manufacturer feels it's cheaper at your expenses and quality of life.. definitely NOT the same... So please beware! Your body knows the difference and reacts to it..

Took .5mg Yellow Qualitest for years and supposedly they are out of stock. Pharmacy switched me to orange Accord. It's horrible.

Teva 2mg generic clonazepam is very potent and efficacious, much more than Mylan or Qualitest or Sandoz. I cannot comment on the 1 mg tablets

I had taken Mylan for years. I never had any issues at all. Last month i picked up my prescription like always and the pharmacy changed manufacturer to accord. I swear on everything this brand doesn't help anywhere close to Mylan. It gave me headaches. Has anyone else had problems with Accord?

i can understand as the pharmacy has change my generic klonopin from mylan /teva/ northstar/ to accord health thats where i had my problem, the very first dose of accord 1mg gave me a serious headache, tightness in chest and severe nausea within a half hour, i was having a bad reaction to it, so not all generics are the same, i ended up in er, where they treated me, i mean wth, drs stated it must be the inactive ingreds that caused my reaction they gave a anoter relaxer ,stomach meds and beadryl and something for my head ache, of course the pharmacy would not takehedrug back, so i had to see the dr to get me diff dose to keep me from going into withdrawl

ACCORD is terrible. I could function on Mylan but Accord has caused nothing but problems. So, where is Mylan clonazepam available? I didn't even feel like I was on meds except I could sleep,skip sometimes, etc. Accord is a nightmare.

I’ve taken clonopin and the Teva brand is by far the best. Mylan is one of the worst generic manufactuers, this is well known. Their generics are rated B-C which translates to poor quality, whereas Teva is rated as a A generic. Always ask your pharmacist the grade of generic your getting and the company who makes it before accepting any prescriptions.

Tons. It acts like a street drug imo and made drastic changes in my ability to function. Accord v.s Mylan. Mylan didn't act like a street drug -I took it and remained alert after taking it for sleep at night for the next day or two. I didn't need to take Mylan every day but Accord will cause withdrawal if you try to change when you take it.

Where is the NDC link? for clonazepam information of different manufacturers and doses?

I'd like to know the inactive ingredients in all of the clonazepam doses and manufacturers, including Teva,
Accord and Mylan, as well as how people do on it.

I was on clonazepam 2mg by teva and they were s*** and I told the pharmacist. She gave me C2 and I can take just half and it does work better than taking 5 teva 2mg tabs. She even told me they're not selling them no more.

I take Accord Clonazepam. It works great for ME. That doesn't mean it will work out for you. Every single drug works differently for each person. I took Teva and it did nothing for me. But I wouldn't tell you not to take it. It has to be your decision. You could go to other pharmacies and ask if they have it or if they could order it. Someone on here said that Wal-Mart uses Accord exclusively.

Yes, TEVA is no longer producing clonazepam; they bought Actavis and now my CVS is stocking Actavis. They were replacing the TEVA with ACCORD, which has no Benzos in it and caused cold turkey withdrawal for me - Horrible! My psy switched me to Xanax in the meantime (about 2 weeks) until I could get the Actavis. However, I do have bouts of nausea and dizziness with the Actavis, which I'm hoping will go away when my body gets used to it. Actavis for me is not as strong as TEVA was, so my prescription allows me to take an extra half tablet in the afternoon if I need it. I seem to notice more anxiety towards evening. I take 1 tab in the morning and 2 tabs (.5mg) about 12 hours later. Doesn't seem to be enough so I may try taking the 1/2 tab around 4 p.m. We're at the mercy of Big Pharma and they don't seem to give a darn about us - just how much money they can rake in. And I think they are getting pressure from gov't re the opioid epidemic and are equating those of who need medication for our health and well-being with that group - which is far from the truth.

Dear sara, you can call the pharmaceutical companies and request information (I get it by mail) about your meds, then skim ahead to "inactive ingredients" and write down or type a Word document listing all the inactive ingredients under each brand. I did this myself with Mylan vs Teva vs Sandoz.

I am dealing with this situation right now! I've been taking orange .5 clonazepam from Accord for 1.5 years at bedtime; now my pharmacy has given me TEVA yellow .5 clonazepam and I've been having anxiety symptoms every since. For about 3 weeks now. I discussed with my psychiatrist today and she said that the inactive ingredients can be different. Aha! Went to my pharmacy and they are no longer carrying the Accord brand. Bummer for me. I'm calling other local pharmacies to see if I can get the specific Accord brand. Seems like I have solved the mystery to this "new" anxiety. Thank you all for having this discussion as it makes me feel better just knowing there is truth in medicines being slightly different when manufactured by different companies (in different countries) etc.

Teva is much stronger, try taking half? It's sad but true... Mylan clonezapam is less than half as strong as Teva. Unless you had a reaction to the binders and fillers! Great answer, the first one.

Accord is horrible. I took Teva for over 20 years. This past month since the switch to Accord has been one of the worst periods in my life. This pill doesn't relax me but makes me have headaches and feel tense. It also made me angry where I wasn't before as well as feeling unable to concentrate. I hate the Accord brand and will get off the drug if this is my only choice.

You may try the route I’m thinking of going which is the generic klonopin on the oral disentigrating tablets. There are 3 manufacturers that make it - Teva, Parr and Sun. They supposedly kick in faster as they don’t have to pass through the stomach.

I can tell you from experience the Xanax is not the path you want to go. They are short acting and are accompanied by rebound anxiety.

Well the original poster liked the Mylan, and there are quite a few threads in which they do work for many people. As I said, everyone is different. As the FDA told me, contact our State Representatives, because honestly, they really shouldn't be allowing a 23% bioavailability difference between manufacturers. Especially pertaining to mental health medications. One minor difference can be life or death for someone with depression and anxiety. As for the consequences, when people dealing with the difference in quality control start obtaining lawyers and lawsuits are filed, maybe then it will get these pharmaceutical companies' attention. As the lady at the FDA told me, they are looking to make the cheapest product available to consumers. As long as it meets the bare bones quality measures, it's okay to put on the market. There are hundreds of thousands of forums regarding the ineffectiveness of name brand vs generic and from one generic to another with all types of medication. People say good look with that, but it's having the passion to do something about it, rather than just sitting and doing nothing. So I'd rather try than give up and feel like this.
