Clonazepam Ingredients Mylan Brand Vs Teva Vs Accord (Page 7)

Updated

Please help with this, i have taken the mylan brand for several years, when the pharmacy could no longer order it they ordered Teva, it immediately gave me pains that seemed to be in my chest....kind of the opposite of what it's supposed to do. So with Mylan being available though only two pharmacies, someone mentioned accord...but what is the difference of fillers. could you simply list all the ingredients for all three brands so if Accord matches Mylan i'm ok?

Re: Anxietygirl (# 120) Expand Referenced Message

You’re are for a world of hurt coming up. If my Dr told me that I’d find another because that is bs. There is no direct substitute for Klonopin. Honestly switch Drs now

Re: Maggie (# 4) Expand Referenced Message

I take 1 mg per day of clonazepam. I can only take the green TEVA or the MYLAN. All of the others make me sick.

Re: Kathie (# 122) Expand Referenced Message

Well they make neither now. Good luck. You might try Valium or another benzodiazepine

Re: John D (# 51) Expand Referenced Message

TEVA recently bought Activis, and discontinued manufacturing clonazepam, I guess since Activis already manufactures clonazepam. I had TEVA brand clonazepam for years, but when they stopped making it, my pharmacy chanced to Accord brand. I have read some great and some horrible reviews of Accord brand, so I guess I will have to wait and see. My TEVA runs out in two days. But Activis is now owned by TEVA

Just don't start with those drugs. And advocate for all the people already addicted to drugs with addictive potencial.Make Pharmaceutical Industry contribute to high quality treatment of the people addicted to their products. All of them .Make them directly responsible for withholding important information when developing, manufacturing and distributing drugs.

Re: Kathie (# 122) Expand Referenced Message

Welcome to my world. I found Northstar which is tolerable (barely) and now it is disc. So I am about to switch to brand Klonopin! Trying to get my insurance to cover more of the cost. As it is I am charged a huge penalty for getting name brand (by my insurance). If not I guess I won't get much for Christmas!

Re: Bill (# 111) Expand Referenced Message

For you. Why is it no better? At least it will be stable and you will know what you are getting. Whether it works like the disc. one you are used to is another thing..........

Re: Hurt (# 125) Expand Referenced Message

I agree. Don't start them. I wish I had known that 28 years ago; that it would be so hard to get off of or even reduce the dose. I was just following my doctors instructions. When the dose was raised a few years ago, I became content to be in bed or my recliner most of the time even If I was having a good day! So I decided to reduce the dose! HA! Surprise! I was in flare before I knew it! Then the "one" that was working at a lower dose was disc. and boom ! my brain has been jerked around by every generic available. Thing is if I find one that works , will it be on the market next week? So I'm going to BRAnd to reduce my dose and possibly ween off it with little help on price from my insurance company!

Re: Connie (# 126) Expand Referenced Message

The name brand for me was either 85.00 cash or if my insurance payed for it it was considered a tier 4 drug so my copay would be 80. So 80 or 85 it ain’t worth it. I’ve had name brand which really ain’t name brand cause it made by a subsidiary company Genentech and its no better maybe worse then Actavis. The two different scripts I’ve had filled have been similar if not the same in strength as the previous refill

Re: Connie (# 128) Expand Referenced Message

Also check GoodRx for the cash price. Just cause you have insurance that doesn’t mean you have to wait for approval. You can take the GoodRx coupon to the pharmacy and pay cash.

Re: Bill (# 117) Expand Referenced Message

I disagree! The FDA guidelines are the problem and the way the generics are regulated (or Not).

Re: Connie (# 131) Expand Referenced Message

Heck id be happy if we could get the FDA to mandate that all drugs taken in the US must be manufactured in the US. Would that be hard, I think not and it would create jobs.

Re: Jimmy (# 132) Expand Referenced Message

Yes it would be hard. Many countries do research and have strong pharmaceutical sectors. What you suggest would deny new meds to people in the USA based upon their geographic origin.

By they way you cannot just "appropriate," some other country's patents, and produce their "stuff," over here.

Patents are international in nature as well.

Re: PurpleRayn86 (# 116) Expand Referenced Message

I would join in the class action!! I was on the Teva for about 20 years. Not anymore. I have to call around to different pharmacies every 28 days to find out which one has the ones I can take and then have it called in. I am 64 and do not have a ride or a car, I have to take 3 or 4 buses to get to these different pharmacies. It is so much trouble not to be sick from not taking them.

Re: Connie (# 134) Expand Referenced Message

Neither does insurance. It’s a tier 4 drug so it’s the highest copay you have

Re: Kathie (# 135) Expand Referenced Message

I think the only viable substitution close to Teva is Actavis. Every CVS around carries it like they did Teva before

Re: Connie (# 134) Expand Referenced Message

It also depends on if you take it multiple times of day or just one a day like me. It was only $5 difference

They don't make Teva anymore. They sold their company to Actavis

Ryan, I thought it was the other way around? I thought that Teva acquired Actavis generics back in 2016. Has anything changed since then?
