I have a pinkish, round pill with the number 93 on it. What is it and what are the mg? Thanks. ## Are there any additional numbers on the tablet? I'm finding one with the marking of 93 7153 that contains 10mgs of Simvastatin. Another with the marking 93 771 that contains 10mgs of Pravastatin. Do either of these match your tablet? ## There is a 715- some other number I can't read. Maybe a 3 or 4? So I am guessing it is Simvastatin or a generic one. This number is on the back of the side with 93 on it. ## My guess, then, would have to be that it's probably the first one I listed, the Simvastatin with the 93 7153. Hi I'm a 55 year old male and I have been on simvastatin for about 8 years now (40). It has worked wonders with my cholesterol but for the past while, perhaps as much as a year now, I have noticed a steady increase in the frequency of trips to the bathroom especially at night - 3 to 4 times minimum. My father died in 1986 of a brain stem stroke due to Triglycerides that were well over 600. He laid in the ICU for a month with no brain activity to speak of. We took him off the ventilator and let him go. At that time I was 22 years young and my brother was 26. The doctors that oversaw my dad informed my brother and I to watch our Tri count as we aged. Sure enough, my liver produces large amounts of Tri’s on a regular basis regardless of diet. I have been on Tricor, Simvastatin and Zocor to little or no success. I am wondering if anyone can relate to my story and has been taking Gemfib. I prefer to not take any statins but I don’t think my DNA will allow me not to. I exercise with weights and cardio, eat pretty well only to have my Tri’s be over 500. My Cholesterol is...

Clear oblong capsule with tiny white beads inside. there are no markings on it at all. ## I found the pill in my sons room and was just wondering what is was. ## I am sorry, if there are no markings on it, then there is no way to positively identify it. Is it okay to have grapefruit while taking Lipitor? ## It's true. You should not ingest grapefruit while taking Liptor, as it could increase the active ingredient's concentration in your bloodstream to unsafe levels. This applies to multiple statins including Lipitor (atorvastatin), Mevacor (lovastatin), and Zocor (simvastatin). ## I was told by a friend that you should not ingest grapefruit or grapefruit juice while on Lipitor. Any word on this? ## FYI any medication that reacts with grapefruit will also react with CBD oil. The CBD oil does the same thing as grapefruit.
