HOW TO SAFELY TAPER FROM Chlordiazepoxide Hydrochloride ## Its a very mild benzo. Detox from it with some determination and some benadril and ibuprofen. Man up and do ... its not that hard to do. ## Even though I have been on a benzo for 10 years? ( 7 years on xanax..3 on Librium?) ## A slow taper is usually the best for these medications, some of them, such as the Benzodiazepines, can cause seizures if they are stopped abruptly, after long-term use. Have you discussed stopping with your doctor? They would be best able to advise you on a proper taper schedule. ## A long slow taper is advised. Google the Ashton Manual (Heather Ashton, an MD who is an expert at benzo detox) gives the best information.

Such side effects have been infrequent and are generally controlled with reduction of dosage. Other side effects may include: dryness of the mouth, blurring of vision, urinary hesitancy and constipation. That said, there doesn't appear to be any side effects related to changes in blood pressure; except possibly changes in libido or menstrual irregularities. I have always filled this prescription and gotten small green capsules. Today I received yellow capsules with RE369 on the capsule. Is that the same type of medication? The green capsule was manufactured by EXCELLUM. Would taking this med make me tired, feel unbalanced and heavy in my walking. I feel weak and don't seem to have the strength I had a month ago, and don't feel like doing anything ## How long have you been taking it? Chlordiazepoxide, with Clidinium may cause some symptoms like this, as a side effect, but they shouldn't be so severe that you can't function. Have you talked to your doctor about it?

I recently was put on chlord clidi to digestive problems relating to pancreas problem in addition to IBS. I also have a history of gastroparesis gerds and precancerous polps. What is a light blue and white capsule marked with 159? ## This is Chlordiazepoxide 25mgs, a generic for Librium. This is a very strong Benzodiazepine. ## I take Librium 25mg only when needed and Amitriptyline 50mg at night for insomnia. I had been on .5 xanax for 6 months and the side affects from not taking them were horrible i was going through detox. My doctor put me on these two medicine and within a week i started to feel alot better like my normal self. The Amitriptyline is a very strong medicine. Make sure you have plenty of time to rest the first 4 days. You wake up real light headed and dizzy. The Librium is great!!
