Chantix And Lortab

Updated

Does anyone here take Chantix and Lortab together. I was put on Chantix by another Dr and I don't know if it is safe to take both.

i have tried Chantix and on Norco and Oxycontin and neither one of these pain meds worked while on the Chantix. It knocked the effects out plus I was sick as all heck. and this is only the 5th day. sorry to say i had to get off of Chantix because i was so sick and in so much pain. this is my 2nd day off and i am still in pain. there has to be a better way to quit. just throw them away but i am not that strong:( GOOD LUCK!!!

I take Lortab 7.5 pretty regularly for chronic back pain resulting from a car accident I had in 2004. I started Chantix on Feb 24, 2011 and I am still on it. I am 28 days smoke-free and my Lortabs still work just fine. I am in no more pain now than I was before I started the Chantix, but as it is in all cases, consult your doctor. Your body chemistry may and probably is different than mine, and the meds could work differently for you than they do for me. Your doctor knows you, and how meds affect you. He/she really knows best. Your safety is worth every penny getting that opinion might cost you!

I have always heard to stay away from Chantix. There are possible lawsuits coming due to the suicide of quite a few people using this drug. Quite smoking some other way.

BULL.....Self glorified GODs. I cannot stand doctors who patients consider GOD of some kind. They are not. They are egotistical manics. Please try to google you state medical boards and find out just how crooked so many doctors really are.

Don't quote me on this, but I quit on Chantix once before and relapsed again with cigarettes. Second time I used chantix I also quit, first time I experienced the depression and the agitation which passed after the first two weeks. Naturally the withdrawals of nicotine will cause some agitation and depression. Try avoiding anything with caffeine, take multi-vitamins with at least 500 MG of vitamin C to help detox the body. I'm not a medical professional, but this helped ease the negative emotions with me.

I had the same issue with norco and chantix. Also after the 5th day. Strange. It isn't supposed to interact but clearly
It does. I have been on norco 2 tabs per day for a year now and they have always worked fine. Not working anymore. Might as well not take them until the smoking habit is kicked. :(

I just had shoulder surgery. So I've been on chantix to quit smoking for ever this time. Anyway, I've taking 3 oxicodon 5 mil. In 6 hours. They have not brought my pain level down. (The nerve block has worn off. Rats!!) In fact my pain is still going up. I called the pharmacy and they said it is not an antagonist for opiates. What gives here? is it that the company would have to relabel it with the FDA. That would cost a lot of money. I'll bet. Because I should be getting some relief. Not even tired. The half life for chantix is 24 hours. I'll post if I have any change tomorrow or the day after. I may have to go get relief from the hospital. I don't know what to do. I can't make it through the night this way. Maybe we can get to the truth on this.

Help yourself and just quit smoking without the need for drugs. It's not that hard.
