Champix

I took champix in jan 2008 and had my first seizure in march 2008, the first one of my life. No history of epilepsy in my family. I have had no brain injury, no illness that has coursed it. This tablet has ruined my life. I have fits about once a month in my sleep. Even with medication. I have the most dangerous kind. It has affected my memory, I struggle to spell and get words mixed up.

Champix is another brand name for Chantix, most commonly used for smoking cessation.

Have your doctors confirmed that it was caused by the medication?

There have been reports of it causing some severe medical problems for some users. In the U.S. there are even some pursuing a class action suit.

hi still not well, but have found evidence that looks like the satistics, of 1, in 1000 having seizures is wrong. It seems to be much higher chance of seizures, in women, particalar, women who suffer hormornal problems befour taking champix. And in men it seems to course more anger and depression. I must state this is only my own personal thery. And iam not medical train at all. But just by doing my own research into this, which i have even reported to pitzer myself. Anyway i have reported my findings to the goverment, and how this drug has left me. And they are looking into it, and i could go to high court. My goverment have listen and are starting to act, its just getting every other country that this tablet is prescribed in to look into it now. I have opened a big can of worms. More people need to report there side effects to their, FDA , and i will not stop untill this drug is taken off the market. No body knows the long term side effects of this drug it, it should have not been put on the market. All the facts are there. Just have a look for yourselfs.
