I have been using Cefadroxil as treatment for a staph infection in my hip replacement joint for a year. Is this medication dangerous for my body? Previously, I've had a 6-week course of Cefazolin administered through a PICC line. I am trying to understand the potential dangers this could pose to my health. ## The risks caused by the infection are far greater than any risk associated with the antibiotics used to combat it, severe out of control infections can be deadly. Dear I am suffering from dry cough as i drink ice water in some party and after the same i got suffer from cough problem my chemist suggested and gave me the cefadroxil 500 as antibiotic is it good for the same or not as no improvement i had seen after taking the 1dose of same. The tooth sensation and pain is most likely being caused by an infection of the nerve endings in your tooth (I've had a similar problem before) and the antibiotics job is to kill the infection- so it should help, but it's impossible to know for certain since medication effects everyone differently. Can the antibotic cefadroxil be used to treat a tooth abcess. ## Cefadroxil can in fact be used for dental infections; although amoxicillin and metronidazole are generally used as first line of treatment. Learn More: Cefadroxil Details If you're experiencing a lot of pain, I would also try dabbing the area with Vanilla Extract and/or clove essential oil. Both options tend to have a numbing effecting to where you can't feel the pain while it kills the infection. I hope this helps!

I have been prescribed Droxyl-500 by my doctor for feverish feeling, soar throat/swollen glands but after taking 1 tab at night, I got rash in the morning and it worsened by noon with severe itching & swollen throat, body pain, fever etc.....how to treat it...can it be life threatning? plz reply urgently! ## How long did that rash and swelling last? Can I use cefadroxil in treatment of dental infection post dental procedure? ## Cefadroxil is commonly used as an antibiotic to prevent infection 'before' dental procedures. I'm not certain however about it's use 'post' dental procedure. You may want to confirm that with your doctor if you feel concerned. There's also the option of Amoxicillin, but I personally suggest looking into Clove Essential Oil. It's a natural remedy for dental issues as far as alleviating tooth aches (anaesthetic properties) and fighting infections (antibacterial, antimicrobial, antifungal properties). Definitely worth looking into if you're on a budget and need something effective. Hope this helps!
