Carisoprodol or something else? (OP-35)

I was born with cerebral palsy, blessed with a mild case, hemipligic (one side of my body) is damaged for people out there that don't know what that is... My motor nerves were damaged at birth, weather before or after labor I will never know, but your motor nerves are what moves your muscles, so I take soma for the involuntary muscle spasms my right side of the body has 24/7... Thanks to the lord I can still walk... Recently I have been given 3 different generic brands of soma from the rite aide that I had great repor with for 15gears and one other pharmacy that I returned to wondering if I can get the qualitest brand that I trusted for years, well it has been hell, excuses be gone please from these pharmacists that take me in circles and have told me how to question this matter wit...

Can different brands of carisoprodol work differently?

I have been using soma/carisoprodol for many years. Usually the paharmacy gives me generic from Watson or Qaulitest. Last time I got the meds it was manufac. by Carimax. It didn't work as well. Do different brands work differently? ## Yes, there can be some differences in generic drugs, the FDA allows a window, of the active ingredient, of up to plus or minus 20% from the name brand product. This can cause variations, where you may, in some rare cases, receive less of a dosage than normal and it may not be as effective. Do you have any other questions? ## Is there any way to tell by the brand names? That way I could avoid the lesser dosage. ## No, there really isn't, other than by your experience. I wish there was, it would make it easier for many people, if they knew what compa...

Carisoprodol, why short term medicine?

What is all the hype about taking carisprodol when you have had 2 neck, 4 back surgeries and osteoarthritis so bad that my fingers on my right hand can't even lift a cup or glass??? I am 60 years old. I do take ms contin, and Xanax for pain and anxiety. I have been on these meds for years. I can't hardly get out of bed in the morning if I am not up all night with pain and gastro problems. I have Lupus and severe fibromyalgia. I had my left hip replaced and after that cervical fusion and lower lumbar fusion. The doctors went to town on me! I hurt 90 percent of the time. I have taken more soma than 20 qty. for 30 days (90qty for 30 days) in the past ten years. I went off the soma for 1 year in exchange for 1 more Xanax a day. Although my muscular problems still existed. Now my Dr ...

Carisoprodol/Soma - need a doctor to prescribe it!

I've been taking soma / carisoprodol off and on for 22 years. When I first took it, I was told to take two 350 mg at bedtime, and it was too much and I nicknamed it Coma! Later I learned that when I first start taking soma after not taking it for a long time to only take 1/4 tab, or even a bit less. Later I can take more as needed, but starting out 1/4 or even 1/8th helps when I haven't take it for a very long time. Now I can't find a doctor who will prescribe it, I read as much as I could find and asked as many, doctors, pharmacists why, and they said various things, but it seemed to come down to the medicine has fallen out of favor because of abuse, "A considerable proportion of carisoprodol is metabolized to meprobamate" (from Wikipedia and that there is abuse. I ...

They are the same right? ## What is the difference? I know 20% is allowed, which is ridiculous. So how is the "SG 109 white round pill" rated compared to Dan, Soma, etc.? Who makes SG 109? can carisoprodol make your penis thicker

I had a bad pain in my back and the doctor gave me carisoprodol for pain. It worked good but I am seeing that my penis is getting thicker. Is that normal? ## Yes this is true taking Soma has made my penis much more thicker much more fatter and hang much more longer when not erect. P.S. how long would it take for it to leave your system ## I'm assuming you meant to say Carisoprodol, is that correct? Anyhow, from what I was able to gather, it stays in your system for roughly three days max; but nine times out of ten basic drug tests don't test for soma (Carisoprodol). Additional information I found states the following: "Soma itself is eliminated from the body quickly, within a day. However, the metabolite, meprobamate (that soma breaks down into), can take several days to be cleared from the body and can show up in the urine for several days." - if they actually test for it. I hope this information helps! ## I have been taking carisoprodol for about a week, and have 12 days until my urine drug test that will be sent to a lab. is 12 days enough time? tha...
