Can Taking Tri-sprintec Late In Cycle Delay Period?

I started taking Tri-Sprintec about 3 months ago. After the 3rd month I wasn't able to get to the pharmacy for almost a week or a week and a half in between packets so when I started the new packet it was very late in my cycle. Now I'm about to start the 3rd week of pills and this is the time I regularly have my period. I'm late by a day now (but my periods aren't normally regular to the day) but i was just wondering, since i started the packet so late, should I expect my period to come during the white pills?

When you're taking hormonal oral contraceptives, such as this one, your period is actually induced by a withdrawal of the hormones, so you won't have one, until you start taking the inactive pills for a day or two.

Many women actually use this as a way to skip their menstrual cycle at times where having it would be inconvenient, such as during a long planned vacation.

Once you're taking them, your body is really no longer on its natural cycle, so yes, if you started the pack late, you'll most likely have your cycle late.

This is the fourth day in the week of white pills and I still haven't gotten my period, but I didn't take the inactive pills.
