Can Purbloka Help Reduce Hot Flushes Caused From Menopause?

Updated

Can purbloka help reduce hot flushes caused from menopause? I am on estrogen suppressants because of breast cancer and don't sleep well because all night I have to keep throwing all the blankets off. My doctor has prescribed pur bloka as I've tried all kinds of anti depressants which I don't need and they have not worked.

Yes, it has been shown to help, according to studies published by the NIH, however it is not known to help with other menopausal symptoms, such as irritability, weight changes, and headache.

Have you tried taking it, yet?

Hi, just started taking it. I don't have any other menopausal symptoms. I am still going off Cymgen so I am not sure if it is helping or not. I am still experiencing a lot of hot flushes which interfere with my sleep, but perhaps not as many as I was.

Thank you for your reply.

Hi Steph. Yes I am off the cymgen now...felt some nausea and dizziness but not sure if it was coming off the cymgen that did that, and my hot flushes were really bad after that. The purbloka is helping, but I only take 10mg at night, so it doesn't stop them, but there are definitely less. I notice especially when I take them earlier in the evening before supper that I don't suffer as much when I am eating supper. The effect wears off overnight though so there is no benefit during the day.
