Methocarbamol For Tooth Pain

I took 2 x 750 mg. Trying to help with the pain until I can get to the dentist. Will this help?

It’s a muscle relaxant. While it won’t help with the pain, per se, it’ll probably help you feel better, by helping you stop tensing up with the pain. Take ibuprofen with it. You need an anti-inflammatory pain med.

Methocarbamol is a muscle relaxant, most commonly used to treat pain and spasms associated with muscle injuries. It works by slowing activity in the nervous system to allow the body to relax. [1]

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth.

Acetaminophen, or Ibuprofen may help, if it is safe for you to take them.
