Recently I started taking Wellbutrin SR (generic). I'm prescribed 100 mg twice daily. However, I've been taking been taking all 200 mg once a day in the morning. Ultimately, is the SR version still effective if only taken once a day? Why do people usually take it twice a day? Will I experience any disadvantages by taking it all at once? Today is my 8th day on Wellbutrin. I definitely feel SOME improvement.

Re: Verwon (# 1)

Yes, this needs to be taken 2 x a day for it to work remotely proper. By not taking it twice a day as prescribed you want never know if it is really having a positive fact on you. If you don't like taking medicine twice a day ask if you could be switched over to the extended release kind of this medication..

Verwon Says:

It is usually best to take it twice daily, as directed, due to the fact that its efficacy depends on it being maintained at a certain level in your body. Taking them both, at once, does not provide you a full 24 hours of medication.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and mood changes.

Is there anything else I can help with?
