Can Suboxone Causedepression?

I am a pain killer addict. I was addicted to Lortabs for about 7-8 years. I began seeing a new doctor & was prescribed Suboxone 2/.5 mg & was on that until about 6 months ago when I was changed to Buprenorphine due to it being cheaper. My question is, I have become increasingly depressed & dealing with anxiety as well as becoming very withdrawn & moody. Could that be a side effect of this medication? It helps so much & I don't want to stop taking it but I need to know. Thank you in advance.

No worries, I've had some amusing autocorrects myself, especially on my iPad.

And yes, all narcotics can cause these types of issues as side effects. I remember when I was on them for pain management and required an antidepressant, in addition to the narcotic pain medications. Once I got off of them, I was fine and even a Psychiatrist confirmed that it was only caused by the medications.

Have you consulted your doctor? It might not be the right medication for you, or you may need to use an antidepressant for awhile.
